[Solved] Frozenway Can't connect

novembre 2015 modifié dans Support technique
A while back, I posted a post about how frozenway cannot connect automatically because it can't find the latency to the quickest server. Well, now it can. Somehow the issue got fixed today, but whenever I try to connect to any server now it says 'Unable to connect to server. Please try another server or another protocol.' Here are the logs:

FrozenWay version 1.6.6
----------------------------------
Server: public-01-fr-01
Protocol: OpenVPN

Sun Nov 15 10:26:01 2015 OpenVPN 2.3.8 x86_64-w64-mingw32 [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [PKCS11] [IPv6] built on Aug 27 2015
Sun Nov 15 10:26:01 2015 library versions: OpenSSL 1.0.1p 9 Jul 2015, LZO 2.08

Sun Nov 15 10:26:02 2015 Socket Buffers: R=[65536->65536] S=[65536->65536]
Sun Nov 15 10:26:02 2015 Attempting to establish TCP connection with [AF_INET]51.254.57.137:443 [nonblock]

Sun Nov 15 10:26:03 2015 TCP connection established with [AF_INET]51.254.57.137:443
Sun Nov 15 10:26:03 2015 TCPv4_CLIENT link local: [undef]
Sun Nov 15 10:26:03 2015 TCPv4_CLIENT link remote: [AF_INET]51.254.57.137:443

Sun Nov 15 10:26:33 2015 [UNDEF] Inactivity timeout (--ping-exit), exiting
Sun Nov 15 10:26:33 2015 SIGTERM[soft,ping-exit] received, process exiting

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe if there is some way to turn off the search for the correct ping or something along those lines? Since that seems to be the main issue here.

  • P.S. I tried all 3 protocols, and was not successful
  • Please help? Is there any way to make this work??
  • Your network policies seems to have been drastically changed. I think that now, your network is blocking https connections without a valid certificat. Can you please give me the connection logs with the http protocol (select menu under the server list).
  • 4t0m1k here they are (http) :

  • Just that as soon as I could read the latency for the different servers, frozenway stopped working. So I thought that maybe there was a change on your side?
  • No, there hasn't had any changes on our side.

In the http tunnel option (button beside the protocol select menu), untick the request streaming and try again.

4t0m1k Sadly, that didn't work, assuming you meant unticking the option I screenshotted image Here is the log for that:

  • So does this mean I can't use this service any more? Or is there going to be a fix for this issue?
  • That's weird you can see latencies, but can't connect. Did you modify something on your PC or install software juste before you can't connect anymore ?

Can you send me a screenshot of the FrozenWay connection options please ?
  • Here are all of them just in case you need them: imageimageimageimage And no, I didn't install anything or modify my pc in any way at all just before the connection issues started, any help would be greatly appreciated!
  • And here are the latencies: image
  • Do you see pong on this page : http://51.254.57.137/ping ?
  • novembre 2015 modifié
    Yes, I can image
  • Ok, and if you go here : https://51-254-57-137.fw-5674.com can you give me the informations about the certificat please ? I suspect your transparent proxy to sniff https trafic.
  • novembre 2015 modifié
I went on the site, and was prompted with this message: image

I then continued on, and as you said I got an error message: image
  • So after some long and hard fiddling, I figured it out! Turns out, all I need to do is input the manual proxy configuration the address of my HTTP and SOCKS proxy! It worked before without having to use the address, but something must have changed.
  • Ok great ! That's weird because FrozenWay succeed to retrieve server/account information without proxy settings, but only for connecting... Do you see latencies again ?
  • yes I can still see latencies
  • Ok thanks for your feedback. Maybe I have to update de FrozenWay Framework.
